Surgery

“Cancer therapy needs to prioritize the patient. I appreciate working with each person to formulate the best plan for them — something that fits their life.”

— Dr. Silbergeld

What brought you to oncology?

My mother had breast cancer. This gave me firsthand experience with how cancer impacts not only the patient, but their entire family. I see patients who have brain tumors, and I feel my role is to inform them and their families of the risks and assess their goals and options.

What do you hope it’s like for a patient to work with you?

I am a good listener and will prioritize each patient’s interests and desires.
