Dr. Michael Linenberger is a hematologist who treats patients with blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloproliferative neoplasms and myelodysplastic syndromes, or blood disorders such as anemia, sickle cell disease, thrombosis and bleeding. His research focuses on apheresis, the procedure for removing specific cell types from blood. He is an expert in bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell procurement for transplantation, collection of immune effector cells, and safety issues for patients and recipients of cell-based therapies.
