Dr. Linda Ko is a behavioral scientist and the director of the Hutch’s Health Communication Research Center, or HCRC. She aims to understand a community’s behavior within the socio-cultural context, develop interventions that will address those behaviors, and translate scientific knowledge through community engagement. Her HCRC projects range from creating culturally appropriate cancer screening communication tools for populations with limited English proficiency to instituting community-wide obesity prevention campaigns for rural communities in Washington state.
