Dr. Michelle Choe specializes in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and pediatric solid tumors as an assistant professor in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch. She is dedicated to finding ways to use cell and gene therapy to treat advanced pediatric cancers, particularly aggressive sarcomas, a disease that is both personal and professional for her following her own diagnosis as a young adult with parosteal osteosarcoma.  

Dr. Choe conducts research into cellular therapies for pediatric solid tumors and clinical trials for adoptive immunotherapy for pediatric solid tumors.  She is also an assistant professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and an attending physician at Seattle Children’s. She previously served as a Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immunotherapy fellow at Fred Hutch/Seattle Children’s.
