  • Parking in the Building 1 garage is free on weekends and holidays.

Building 2 parking

  • The parking fee is a flat $4 fee for Building 2.
  • Valet parking is required in Building 2, which has an automated parking structure that uses a mechanical system to stack vehicles vertically to limit space. This means that no people or animals will be able to remain inside your car if you’re using the Building 2 garage.
  • Parking is not available in Building 2 on weekends and holidays.

Other considerations

  • There is limited paid street parking.
  • Please allow extra time to get to your appointment to allow for any construction and traffic delays.

Valet

Free valet service is available for paid parking in both garages at Fred Hutch: Valet service is optional in the Building 1 garage; the Building 2 garage is valet‑only. If you prefer to park your own car, park in the Building 1 garage.

Valet service is available only on weekdays, from 7 a.m.–6 p.m. for Building 1 or 6 a.m.–6 p.m. for Building 2. Valet Parking Frequently Asked Questions

Patients requested an easier parking experience, and we listened! To help improve your parking experience, Fred Hutch Cancer Center partnered with Prime Parking Systems, an experienced, contracted valet company, to offer a valet parking for Clinic Buildings 1 and 2 in South Lake Union.

Valet parking is optional for all patients and families in Building 1, and is required for automated parking in Building 2. If you would prefer to self-park, you may do so in the Building 1 garage. For those who use valet parking, all of our attendants will be following Fred Hutch’s strict infection prevention policies.

Arrival:

Drop your car off in either clinic parking garage in the clearly designated valet area. For Building 1, this is on Aloha Street and Building 2, Yale Avenue N. An attendant will take your car keys, attach a numbered key fob and give you a corresponding valet ticket. The ticket must be given to an attendant to receive your keys back at the end of your visit, so please keep your ticket with you.

Departure:

Please pay for parking and pick up your vehicle in the same building in which you parked.

  • Building 1: You will pay at the valet station or kiosk that is located on floor 1 near the main doors. You will give the attendant your valet ticket or scan at the kiosk and pay the parking fee. They will bring your car to the valet pick-up area.
  • Building 2: You will pay at the kiosk stations located on Floor A or Floor 1 then provide the ticket to the valet in Floor A. The valet will retrieve your vehicle.

After hours pick-up

  • Building 1: Keys that are not picked up in Building 1 by 6 p.m. will be at the security desk on the main floor, which is open 24 hours. Once you present the valet ticket, you will receive your keys and a security officer will guide you to your car on level B of the parking garage. For Building 1, you will pay the booth attendant in the garage until 8 p.m. After 8 p.m., parking is complimentary.
  • Building 2: Payment will occur at the kiosk stations located on Floor A or Floor 1 of building 2.  Present your ticket to the valet located on Floor A and the valet attendant will retrieve the vehicle for you and pull it up to the doors leading to the garage.

If a valet ticket is lost, you will be asked to complete a lost ticket form and provide proof of identity to validate vehicle ownership with the registration. Any lost tickets will incur the full rate for parking of $4.

No, parking fees remain the same whether you self-park or use valet parking.

Valet is offered on weekdays only. In Building 1, the valet hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., subject to change. For Building 2, hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., subject to change.

Please do not tip, as the Fred Hutch policy doesn’t allow our workforce to accept cash or cash equivalents (gift cards, cashier’s checks, etc.) regardless of value.
