SCCA is located on the Fred Hutch campus, which allows for close collaboration between cancer clinicians and cancer researchers, speeding up both medical research and the translation of that research into improved patient care.

The Student/Postdoc Advisory Committee (SPAC) publishes a survival guide for graduate students and postdocs at Fred Hutch that includes valuable information on topics ranging from benefits and career development to mentoring opportunities and Fred Hutch–sponsored sports teams.
SPAC works to improve the environment for graduate students and postdocs at Fred Hutch and works closely with the Office of Scientific Career Development (OSCD) to offer professional development workshops. Postdocs also have access to individual career counseling with the OSCD director.
