Inspiring Hispanic/Latinx Scientists

Inspiring Hispanic/Latinx Scientists

Welcome to The Atlas of Inspiring Hispanic/Latinx Scientists

The Atlas of Inspiring Hispanic/Latinx Scientists is a grassroots effort developed to showcase the expertise, talents, and diversity of Hispanic and Latinx scientific faculty.

Featured scientists were identified through a nomination system; we expect to solicit nominations annually. We recognize that The Atlas is incomplete and expect to publish amendments to showcase additional scientists. Our list is currently limited to faculty members, but we expect to expand nomination criteria in the future.

To nominate a faculty member to be featured on The Atlas, please use this form.
To nominate a non-faculty member to be featured on The Atlas, please use this form.

The Atlas was developed, created, and led by the following scientists:

  • Christina Termini (she/her/hers), Assistant Professor, Fred Hutch Cancer Center
  • JP Flores (he/him), PhD Candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • Doris Cruz Alonso, PhD Student, Program in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Michigan
  • Carolina Gomez Casas, PhD candidate, Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program at Brown University
  • Crystal Dezha-Bolteada (she/her/ella), PhD student, Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program at the University of Virginia
