Partnering for Success
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Core partners with employee and research teams to elevate inclusion at Fred Hutch and our recruitment for community-related studies. These partnerships are critical in our continued growth and success in accomplishing our mission.
Employee Resource Groups
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Core encourages our colleagues across the Hutch to join one of our outstanding affiliated Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Chartered through the DEI Core, ERGs play a key role in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment for everyone. The purpose and focus of each ERG are to develop and encourage a deep sense of community, connection, and growth at the Hutch. These voluntary, employee led groups serve to add value to the Hutch and strengthen retention. The DEI Core serves as the primary partner with each ERG in achieving group specific goals and objectives. Hutch ERG’s have been catalysts for DEI efforts and progress, with the Diversity Council (now known as CERE) contributing to this work for some twenty years!
Community of Employees for Racial Equity (CERE)
Community of Employees for Racial Equity (CERE) is a volunteer-employee group committed to serving Fred Hutch by building community, having critical conversations, and engaging all employees on topics of race, racism and identity to improve the culture of Fred Hutch and lead to the retainment of staff.
Fred Hutch Rainbow Employees for Equity (FHREE)
The mission of FHREE is to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all LGBTQ+ faculty and staff by celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of the LGBTQ+ community at Fred Hutch and by advocating to ODEI for intersectional LGBTQ+ equity.
